A waterside home in an idyllic location for five persons.
“Cheval Roc” was originally three fishermen’s cottages. and once the home of renowned artist, Alfred Wallace. Over the years renovations have resulted in a distinctive property offering delightful accommodation on the Harbour. Located in a coveted, sunny position, the house commands breathtaking views of the harbour and open sea. The Island, Porthmeor and Porthminster beaches are on the doorstep and local shops are a few minutes level walk away.
The 30’ beamed sitting room has large windows encompassing panoramic views. Comfortable seating, pine furniture and a gas log fire make the perfect environment in which to relax.
The kitchen is well equipped and incorporates a double oven, hob, microwave, refrigerator, kettle and toaster. A window overlooks the harbour. The adjoining dining area also has wonderful views. Portmeirion Pottery caters for five persons.
There are three bedrooms upstairs, two of which have delightful harbour and sea views. All have co-ordinated curtains, bedspreads and built-in wardrobes. One bedroom is en suite and has a spacious shower enclosure. There are two 5’0” Dunlopillo beds in each of the double rooms, and a 3’0” bed in the pretty single. The main bathroom is well appointed with a Vernon Tutbury suite. The downstairs cloakroom is an added convenience.
With comfort in mind, we have endeavoured to create a homely atmosphere throughout. Central heating is provided according to the time of year. The property is warm and inviting even in the depths of winter.
Upon request, bed linen can be supplied and beds made up prior to arrival. The charge for this facility is £10 per bed set.
The cottage is available at 3 pm on day of arrival. Please ensure to vacate by 9 am on day of departure.
A guaranteed parking space can be reserved when booking. The charges are as follows:
£30 per week 1 Apr ~ 31 Oct
£15 per week 1 Nov ~ 31 Mar (excluding festive holidays).
