Wheal Dream is a quiet backwater situated in a desirable location a few paces from the harbour. Originally a fisherman’s cottage, the top floor offers delightful accommodation. Nestling between Porthgwidden and the harbour, the cottage apartment has amazing views over Bamaluz Cove and St Ives Bay. The coastal footpath fronting the property leads to The Island and the magnificent surf beach of Porthmeor.
A comfortably furnished sitting room, with bay window, overlooks the sea and the beach below. There is a log effect fire, and colour television. At high tide the sound of waves can be heard breaking in the cove below.
A compact kitchen-diner incorporates an electric cooker, microwave, refrigerator, electric kettle, toaster and seating for four persons. An internal window offers lovely views of the sea.
There are two double bedrooms. The front bedroom has a 4’6” bed and enjoys views over Bamaluz Cove. The rear bedroom has two 3’0” pine beds, fitted wardrobe, and hand washbasin. This bedroom overlooks cottages in Downalong and Teetotal Street. The beds are of a high quality for comfort.
A spacious fully tiled shower room is fitted with a Vernon Tutbury suite, large shower enclosure, razor socket, electric towel rail and down lighting.
The cottage apartment has a homely atmosphere throughout. Heating is provided according to the time of year to ensure that it is warm and welcoming, especially during the winter months.
Duvets and pillows are provided. Upon request, bed linen can be supplied and beds made up prior to arrival. The charge for this facility is £10 per bed set.
The cottage is available at 3 pm on day of arrival. Please ensure to vacate by 9 am on day of departure.
A guaranteed parking space can be reserved when booking. The charges are as follows:
£30 per week 1 Apr ~ 31 Oct
£15 per week 1 Nov ~ 31 Mar (excluding festive holidays).
